The County has identified the need for a new Fire/EMS Headquarters and five new Fire stations, consisting of three replacement stations located at Taylorsville, Euharlee and Highway 61/Dallas Highway and has allocated  $9.2 million for these projects.  The replacement stations at Taylorsville and Euharlee have now been completed.    Two new Fire Stations will be built, one in the northwest section of the County and one in the southeast section of the County.  The new Fire/EMS Headquarters facility, which houses the largest station for Fire/EMS in the County is expected to move forward in 2010.
