Changing your address is easy and should be done each time you move your legal residency. The law requires that you change your address with the Voter Registration Office by the fifth monday prior to an election in which you wish to vote. The easiest way to do this is to download a Voter Registration Card, complete it, and mail it into the office. You can also acomplish this online through the Secretary of State's website.
If you fail to notify us of your change of address and move within Bartow County, or move within 30 days of an election, you will use your old address for voting purposes in that election and be required to change your address while you are at your polling place.
If you move into Bartow County before the fifth monday prior to an election, you MUST notify us of your change of address in order to be eligable to vote in that election. However, if you move into Bartow County within 30 days of an election, you may vote in the county of your former residence.
If you have any questions about this process, don't hesitate to contact us.
You can print the application, fill it out, and mail it to us.
Or you can change your address online at the Georgia Secretary of State's website.
